Magic Realism .... One of my favourite art genres.
Magic realism is over the top symbolism, in your face colours and eye-watering contrast. Most of all it has messages which are private to the artist and leaves the viewers guessing... You might think you know what it's all about, but you could be wrong....
I like it.
I realize this is not for everyone and it's very different from my other art work. However, I like to try different things. Next week you might get a Nike ad (only joking
)
This is a manipulation, but apparently on dA you can't do Magic Realism anywhere, let alone in Photo Manipulation, so I had no choice but to post it in "Digital Art -- Photo manipulation -- Surreal. Closest thing but not quite ....
I had a closer look at the art posted in "surreal". Hmmm ... Might actually move it to "Fantasy". Then again, maybe not ...
Why a manip can't be magic I have no idea. In my opinion there's nothing more magic than a manip.
